Openreach is currently in the middle of a national rollout of ultrafast full fibre broadband to support the Government’s ambition of making high speed broadband available to 85% of the country.
DGUS Group is proud to support a number of tier 1 contractors helping to deliver Openreach’s full fibre build programme and ambition to reach 25 million homes and businesses with full-fibre connectivity by December 2026.
DGUS Group supported a leading tier 1 contractor to deliver ultrafast full fibre broadband to over 48,000 homes and businesses in Bournemouth. This project involved the following stages:
Firstly, DGUS Group completed an intrusive survey on 60,000 THP (home and businesses) to prove fibre cable routes, identify civils clearance and civils build requirements, identify CBT locations and poling requirements to successfully deliver fibre to all homes and businesses targeted.
Using our team of inhouse S11 and S13 accredited surveyors all field data was captured using our on-line box to box software and all survey returns were walked off and approved by the client before being uploaded to Openreach’s Orion planning tool prior to build.
Once the design was approved by Openreach, DGUS Group’s civils teams undertook a programme of civils works to clear all civils blockages and associated box and track rebuilds.
DGUS Group’s cabling and splicing engineers successfully installed and delivered over 48,000 fully commissioned pons (homes and businesses).
DGUS Group have delivered similar ultrafast full fibre broadband build projects at a number of locations across the country including Kent, Hampshire, Wales.
